CASH FOR YOUR UNWANTED LIFE INSURANCE POLICIES

If you are a senior and have an existing policy that is no longer needed or premiums are no longer affordable, a life settlement may be a viable option. Sell your policy in the secondary market through a life settlement company in exchange for a lumpsum of cash that generally exceeds the cash surrender value of the policy (if any cash value at all). The life settlement company would take over ownership of the policy, making all future premiums and receiving the death benefit upon your demise. You can then use the sale proceeds to meet other financial obligations or needs, maybe replace with new insurance at lower cost, or simply reinvest the funds as you see fit. 


· You may qualify if you are over Age 70 with some health changes.


· Policies that can be considered include term, key man insurance, universal life, whole life.

Before you surrender or let your policy lapse, call us for a free appraisal of your life insurance policy to determine its fair market value in the secondary market.


Example

Barbara is 77 years old and a recent widow with a significant change in her health and financial situation. She was struggling to meet her current living needs and unable to continue paying premiums on a life insurance policy she bought 10 years ago.  She was ready to surrender the policy for only $21,000 net cash value. We worked with her advisor and recommended a life settlement solution.


RESULT: 

$1,000,000 life insurance policy with annual premiums of $33,000 and $21,000 in cash surrender value.  We were able to sell her policy for $163,000 in the secondary life settlement market ($142,000 in excess of cash surrender value!). Barbara used the sale proceeds from an unwanted asset to meet her immediate financial needs.
